Celestite Crystal Healing Properties
Celestite is thought to stimulate the spiritual senses, enhancing inner vision and dream work. It is believed to bring a calm, centred and uplifted feeling into the emotional body.
Similarly, it may help one feel safe and protected and overcome fear or paranoia. This variety of Quartz is a great crystal of choice for rooms that require deep serenity. In particular, therapy rooms and bedrooms. As such, it is great for kids who are scared at night, or suffer from nightmares.
History and Uses
Celestite, also known as Celestine, was named from the Greek word for celestial, referring to the likeness of its pale blue colour to the heavenly realms. It is usually found in shades of white, soft blue or colourless, but can rarely be red, orange or green. Due to its strontium content, it has been ground up and used to make red coloured fireworks. It is a fragile stone and should be handled with care. Do not keep it in direct sunlight or the colour will fade.
Geological Description
Celestite is a strontium sulphate mineral with a hardness of 3 to 3.5. The most frequently found form is the blue-grey variety that forms in clusters and geodes. It is found on the Northwestern coast of Madagascar.
Affirmation
I am a loving being in the fullness of serenity and inner truth, always in communion with my higher self, angels and spiritual guides.
